Hello, this is your founder.
What in the world: 1oo+ group messages oAo
I'm so sorry I really am
I was really busy with school and I couldn't take out some good time to go through the submissions. My apologises, I swear this will never happen again. I will go through all the messages and shift through them no matter how long it takes.  Thank you for the consideration.

All right the submission folder has been resolved 8D
You can now submit to "Submissions" without problems. If there is a problem, please contact me. :thanks:

Also we're thinking about having another caption contest. If you guys have any funny canine photos, please notify us to apply for theme picture of the Caption Contest!

k9 of the Month: Skye Terrier January-February
:bulletblack: They are very rare now.
:bulletpink:They are strangely shaped. Their bodies are long and they have small hind legs
:bulletblue: Even though they may seem to have a short temper, they are ideal household pets.
:bulletgreen: Skye Terriers are also experienced hunting dogs!
Okay so I see that our feature folder
is over maximum capacity. So I created a new folder.

PLEASE
SUBMIT
YOUR WORK
IN THIS NEW FOLDER.

once again

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR WORK TO "SUBMISSIONS"

:bulletgreen: Founder's Note::bulletgreen:

:bulletorange:Its been a while, but I'm glad to see that the group is still running at a good pace! Monthly updates will now be around again! So please look forward to a journal around the end of December. Thanks for contributing so many amazing pictures of canines into the group!

:bulletpurple:However, I've seen some issues as well. Regarding the "k9 of the Month" folder. I've gotten messages for submissions of canines that do NOT belong in that folder. Please understand that this folder is specifically for a current canine that we spotlight every month or specialize for a period of time. From September to November, we wanted to give a spotlight to the Akita Inu and Hachiko. A lot of people submitted other types of canines into the folder where we only wanted to show Akita art for an amount of time.  So please, ONLY SUBMIT THE CURRENT CANINE OF THE MONTH TO THE "K9 OF THE MONTH FOLDER"

            K9 OF THE MONTH

A special shout, if you watched the annual dog show from the American Kennel Club, you may have found out about the spectacular winner!

THE IRISH SETTER

:bulletpink: As a sporting dog, the Irish Setter is a very intelligent breed. They are level headed and learn easily.

:bulletblue: The remarkable color of the Irish setter is recognized by all. It is a silky red coat.

:bulletred: It may be used as a static hunting dog, but the Irish setter has a large heart for affection and its family.

:bulletyellow: The Irish Setter's history is dated back to 18oos. With the top hunting dogs into one, the Irish Setter is created to be an excellent game dog.

REMEMBER TO ONLY SUBMIT IRISH SETTER PICTURES THIS MONTH  TO THE K9 OF THE MONTH FOLDER.

Just a quick update from the founder. We reached over 5oo members! I didn't think this would happen so quickly. Thanks for making this group run well 8D. Also, I'm thinking of having another caption contest. What should the prizes be? If someone would be nice enough to donate points, that would be appreciated. If someone has a funny photo of a canine that you think is worth a caption, note me please.

K9 OF THE MONTH: SUPER SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!
This month's k9 of the month is the Akita.
However, I'm putting a little memoir of Hachiko, an amazing Akita who is the symbol of all Akitas.

***Hachiko was an Akita that was owned by Professor Hidesaburō Ueno in the 192os. Every day, the professor would leave for work at Shibuya Station in Japan. And every day, Hachiko, who loved the professor with all his might, would go to the train station and wait for his master. However, in 1925, Hidesaburō Ueno died while giving a lecture. Hachiko denied his master was gone. After he was taken to a different home, Hachiko fleed. He went to go look for his master. Hachiko went to the same Shibuya Station until he died. How Hachiko waited for his master shows a remarkable canine trait, loyalty.***

Hachiko's story was made into a movie a year ago by Mr. Richard Gere. It is called: Hachiko: A Dog's Story (you should really see it, it made me cry)

:bulletred::bulletyellow::bulletwhite:
:bulletyellow: There are two variations of Akitas, the American and Japanese.
:bulletred: The full name of an Akita is Akita Inu. Inu means dog in Japanese.
:bulletwhite:The Akita is the national dog of Japan
:bulletblack:Akitas have webbed feet.
